Episode 04: Living Life on Purpose

Evelyn Main

Career and Transition Coach

Saying that this past year has been full of change would be an understatement.  People’s worlds transformed overnight and, for some, this has provided a new lens through which they are assessing their lives. Career and transition coach, Evelyn Main, brings over three decades of business experience working with individuals, teams and departments in setting their vision, deciding on action steps, and executing the plan.  Ev believes that people make real change when they find the solutions within themselves.  She seeks to help people, “ask the big questions, find the juicy answers, and live life on purpose!” Specializing in transitions, with a kind yet astute and accountable approach, I couldn’t think of a better person to have a discussion with given the times.

Some takeaways from this episode include:

  • how to start - often one of the biggest hurdles in creating change

  • using “mistakes” or “failures” to create better informed decisions

  • how to honour your past, while not getting stuck in it, to serve your future

  • the importance of having good friends, mentors, and coaches to help you during different parts of your journey

  • creating routines, timelines, and accountability

  • the importance of taking steps, not leaps, to grow confidence and build momentum

  • being kind to yourself and “just do it”
