Episode 05: Finding Your Niche
Jenny Steele is the ray of sunshine we all need after this cloudy Covid year. Training as an elite dancer through adolescence, Jenny turned her focus to her degree, and after some soul searching and happenstance, to the world of media. Starting at the bottom, we’re talking coffee runs and 2am edits, Jenny harnessed her incredible work ethic to create the multifaceted career she thrives in today. And, while she may have rubbed elbows with George Clooney and Sarah Jessica Parker, her talents as a TV Host are just one of her many accomplishments. She’s worked on countless projects that range from Alberta Tourism’s Olympic Video and Flames TV to documentaries and pop culture entertainment shows for CTV, CityTV, CBC, OMNI, The Biography Channel and Sportsnet. In addition to producing, Jenny can be seen in front of the camera as a TV Personality and Host. She recently kept her city informed as the Host of “Report to Calgarians” and if you love Hollywood gossip, you can catch her as the narrator, writer and on-air talent for “Celebrity Style Story” on E!
Whether she is writing, producing, hosting events, modeling with her family, taking on acting at the age of 40 (why not?!?!), or creating new opportunities to share stories of meaning, Jenny is always one thing - authentic. Her incredible work ethic, professionalism, and genuine personality have all contributed to her success and to finding her niche.
Some takeaways from this episode include:

how her views on “failure” have changed over the years and how it has served her
the value in applying yourself in whatever you do - even if it is grunt work
